About Your Wedding Day Timeline + A Sample Template! – Hawaii Wedding Photographer

Hawaii Wedding Photographer - Sample Timeline

Choosing your wedding day photographer is a big deal!  The style you choose goes along with the rest of the decisions on how your wedding day will look and be remembered.   It is so exciting when you find your perfect photographer!

One key part of getting amazing photographs is making sure you plan enough TIME for your photographer to get all the photos on the wedding day.

I’ve been doing weddings for over 7 years now and seen a LOT of wedding days. The best way to make sure you and your photographer get all the photos you want during the day is to have a great timeline.  Your wedding planner will often help you with the schedule, and I always recommend sending it over to your photographer to make sure those times work for them.

I have drafted many a timeline for my couples when there isn’t a designated planner for the day. The photographer is usually the vendor who will be with the bride and groom the most on the big day and it helps immensely when they have a great schedule and can help everyone be where they need to be.

I start out by sending many of my wedding couples this timeline sample draft I have created below for how a wedding day is usually structured.  Your wedding day will be completely unique to you, this is just a starting point of what photos are commonly captured, so you can move things around and get a final timeline that’s perfect for your wedding day.
