I got to photograph Caroline at the Weymouth Center in Southern Pines and I just adored how these came out. Caroline is such a sweet personality with a very feminine style, so we went with a dreamy vintage vibe for her photos. I love how they ended up coming out! Let’s talk about Cottagecore
What does Cottagecore mean, you ask? Aesthetically, it’s a nod to the traditional English countryside style, romantic and nostalgic,” from Davina Ogilvie.
I met with Caroline with the idea of creating a whimsical senior session that embodied her feminine and southern personality, an homage to the beautiful floral gardens in spring with a hint of southern vibes.
The dresses chosen all exude a soft vibe that matches how spring feels, and we completed the look with lemons and a basket of flowers.
The result? Sweet Caroline, good times never seemed so good.
Styling Tips
It isn’t as hard as it seems to style. It’s the little details that really make a difference. The ties in the white dress are such an easy way to add a vintage feel. We brought a blanket from home, some flowers and lemons from Trader Joes and a basket to really add something extra to the photos. Then we had multiple quick outfit changes that really worked well with the flowers at the Weymouth.
