Gabby & Jerry wanted to get beautiful, clean engagement photos on the beach in Wilmington, and we got such a perfect day for it. Since I (Rae Marshall, the photographer) used to live in Hawaii for 5 years, I’ve become an expert on getting photos at the beach. Surprisingly it’s one of the most difficult places to shoot due to the intense sun, lack of shade and reflection of the light hitting back up from the sand and water. That’s why it’s particularly important to choose the right time of day for the style of images you want for beach photos.
Gabby and Jerry went with classic colors to wear that matched the beach aesthetic, and we brought some picnic items to add a fun activity to the evening. See the highlights below from their photography session!
