Rachel and Cameron envisioned getting married at Duke Chapel because Duke means so much to us and is a huge part of our love story. They met steps away from Duke Chapel back in 2014, where in a brief encounter at the beginning of the school year brought them together. Their paths didn’t cross again until months later, when fate and final exams brought them together. Eager to escape the chaos of Duke’s law building, both sought refuge in a nearby undergraduate library. By a stroke of luck, they each took a study break in the library’s coffee shop at the same time. And in a moment of courage, Cameron struck up a friendly conversation.
The dress: Rachel wanted to keep things elegant, airy and bright, so they chose creams and whites for florals. Rachel loves orchids, so they knew they wanted to feature some. Rachel’s ceremony dress is a Monique Lhuillier lace dress and she always envisioned wearing Monique Lhuillier on her wedding day an ode to her Filipino culture and because of the timeless beauty of Monique’s work.
The food & drink: The food is classic country club faire, which they loved when they had our tasting. They also had signature cocktails – a John Daly for Cameron and a Lychee Martini for Rachel. They had two flavors of delicious cake made by Sugar Euphoria – Chocolate Trifecta and Champagne Toast. Check out the highlights from their beautiful wedding day below!
