Aline and Jameson are such thoughtful people, and were the sweetest from the get go. We first met at the National Gallery of Art in DC for their engagement session, and I knew then that they were just hoping for images that showcased the beauty of their relationship together.
They explained to me why they wanted a Larz Anderson House wedding, an absolutely stunning location in Washington DC that doesn’t need much else in terms of decorations. They said in their words: “We wanted a venue that was historic and meaningful and beautiful all on its own without the need for a lot of ornaments and dressing up. This is why we chose the Larz Anderson House, and because it was built with so much care and combines the esthetics of two completely different cultures (Asian and European) in a way that is really harmonious and tasteful. This nicely paralleled the fusing of Aline’s Middle Eastern background with Jameson’s Nordic background. It also worked out nicely that the wedding takes place in a venue with Japanese elements with the Cherry Blossom Festival as the backdrop.”
There is no room in the Larz Anderson house that isn’t extremely photogenic. Aline and Jameson really wanted to make sure we had time to get portraits in different locations, as well as feature some hang out time with their wedding party. Aline’s bridesmaids wore pink in honor of the Cherry Blossoms in bloom, and the pop of warm color was perfect for the cool vibes of the backyard area by the pool.
