Washington DC Engagement – Tyler & Kevin

I met with Tyler and Kevin at Le Diplomate restaurant right in their neighborhood in DuPonte Circle area. What we didn’t realize is that we’d scheduled their session on the busiest weekend of the year in DC (cherry blossom season). The restaurant was absolutely slam packed even between lunch and dinner. Honestly, I wasn’t sure how we were going to get the vision these two were hoping for. However, between seats opening up outside, and the restaurant ended up being very accommodating for our inside shots, we managed to get images that appeared like we were the only ones there. It was a fun challenge and story actually!

We then decided to just walk back toward their home and see what sights we would run into for the rest of the session. We stopped at a beautiful Dogwood tree in bloom that coincided well with the blooms all around. Someone started blasting a song for Tyler and Kevin to dance to from the road, and we all were cheering for them as they spun and did a dip.

Finally, we stopped at their home where they got to pop in and give some smooches to their pup, who was so excited to have them back. That’s the way I love for an engagement session to be, personal, fun, and unexpected.
