Jisoo and Tim’s Manhattan engagement photography session was nothing short of an adventure—a perfect blend of iconic New York moments and their own love story woven into the city streets. We started at Grand Central Station, where the energy was chaotic, but quintessential for the daily life here. The constant movement of travelers rushing to their destinations created a cinematic backdrop, while Jisoo and Tim shared quiet, intimate moments amidst the grandeur.
From there, we took to the streets, letting the city guide us on our way to Central Park. I always love embracing those in-between moments— and in our phone call I actually made sure they knew that we could plan, but finding whatever was in front of us was going to be the best inspiration. I loved this hot dog stand surrounded by taxis as an impromtu location.
Once inside the park, we stopped at Bethesda Terrace, where the arches and intricate details framed them beautifully. The soft light filtering through the trees gave a dreamy, romantic feel, making it the perfect setting to capture their connection. So maybe there was an opera singer performing for her friends in the middle of the terrace, that’s just part of the adventure.
To end the evening, we made our way up to the Top of the Rock, where the city stretched endlessly beneath us. The wind added to the drama, and even though it was a bit wild to work with, I love the movement it added.
There’s nothing quite like seeing New York City from above—every light, every building, every heartbeat of the city below. It was the perfect way to celebrate their engagement—an ode to adventure, where their story has led them, and the magic of NYC. I can’t wait for their wedding coming up this fall.
