I’m a huge fan of couples who go all in on having a blast on their wedding day, and that’s exactly what Erica and CJ did at their Donovan Manor Wedding in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.
The Design
Their design by the talented Significant Events centered around a soft, neutral palette of champagne and ivory, with subtle touches of sage. The ceremony contrasted crisp whites with the lush greenery of the venue’s rose garden, while luxurious silk and satin fabrics helped elevate the overall look to reflect Erica’s personal taste.
Haines prepared every detail to be personalized, with wedding graphics celebrating the two’s union perfectly. A personalized monogram and damask pattern appeared across many elements — from the programs and bar wrap to cocktail napkins, matchbooks, dance floor, and even cigar wraps — creating a cohesive visual theme throughout the event.
Overall, the day reflected both the couple’s personalities and images speak for themselves with what a great celebration it was!
Special Surprises:
The couple also surprised one another with special touches. During cocktail hour, CJ arranged for a live painter from Triangle Wedding Painter to capture the couple’s first kiss among the roses, creating an artistic keepsake. In return, Erica knew CJ would love a cigar bar complete with personalized cigars, matchbooks, and a leather lounge area that invited guests to relax and enjoy the moment. This is always such a great photo moment as well!
